anons and their comments… oh my god. i think your biggest mistake here is the generalization. not everyone hates on her because she’s white. there is a diffrence between disliking an actress because she is white, and disliking an actress because she simply can’t act ! i don’t like her, because i think she can’t act, not even to save herself from death, and i don’t care if she’s white, brown, black or even yellow and pink, her skin will not change that fact for me -_-
if you like her, good for you, no one is going to put you in jail for it, but you should respect also others who don’t like her for reasons, and stop making stupid assumptions like this one over here just to try proving something :)

The confession is pretty clear: that Kaif being vehemently criticized specifically for being non-Indian is unfair.

Which it is.

I suspect that that the reason why she’s in the industry without any hint of telent is probably mostly because she’s pretty and fair. The fact that a lot of talentless-yet-famous bollywood actresses are fair is very problematic. Actually, her being white isn’t the problem, her being half white half indian is.
You can’t reasonably expect Kalki Koechlin, for example, to be held up as a beauty standard for indian girls, because she’s 100% white, but Katrina Kaif, being only half white, is more likely to represent some kind of ideal that people might actually try to achieve. 

And it’s not the same thing as wishing Indian people didn’t work in hollywood, because 1) we don’t live in a cultural vacuum and 2) america is a hell of a lot more diverse than india.
